This body of work studies the intricate detail of floral entities while also exploring their form, shape, and experience related to the human body. The relations between flowers and the body are endless; texture, symmetry, reproduction, fragility. Throughout these images, we witness a multitude of different stages in a flowers life. This can be compared to our growth and inevitable decay. Even though a flowers lifespan is much quicker than a humans, it emphasizes the fleeting moments we experience and how quickly or gradually they can pass depending on the amount of effort and care we put into them. The use of color images particularly accentuates this concept between life and death. Even though these flowers look very saturated and bright, the grand majority of them were wilted, symbolizing how we attempt to present and preserve ourselves, even if the decay is in full swing.
