Growing Pains explores self portraiture of the body in relation to the awkwardness that is felt through growing into yourself while trying to fit in where you don’t belong. This project was my first exploration into the world of black and white film development and printing, which was absolutely a learning process, but left me with an admiration for slowing down my process and thinking deeply about what was being captured.
